Who we are

Crimson Chord is an award-winning gospel music trio based in Brownsville, Kentucky. Group members include Terry Dorsey, Lena Aldridge and Susan Hicks

Terry Dorsey, began singing all over the United States as lead singer and manager of his family group, The Gloryland Singers at the age of 14 and has had the privilege of working with some of the elite in Southern Gospel music. He has worked with such artists as the Cathedrals, McKameys, Dottie Rambo, Inspirations, Happy Goodman Family, Gold City, Hoppers and many more. In 2008 Terry traveled with the Hall of Fame group, Naomi & the Segos and sang on the main stage of the National Quartet Convention. He was the creator of the “Golden Girls of Gospel” tour featuring Naomi Sego, Lulu Roman and Dottie Rambo. Terry is a piano player and a talented songwriter. His solo CD release in 2004 included the self-penned charting single, “He Did It Once.”

Lena Aldridge is a multi-award-winning gospel music singer, piano player and songwriter. In 2010, she won the Renfro Valley Gospel Talent Search; in 2011 she was a finalist in the Embassy Music Talent Search in Nashville, Tennessee and also a finalist in the Kentucky Idol Competition. In 2012 she won the Glen Rice Future Star talent competition. Her bluesy-gospel style has garnered her two solo charting singles with “He'll Do It Again” and “On Time God” with Grace Records.

Susan Hicks is the newest member of the group, joining in February 2025. She has been a gifted musician and singer since the age of 10. She also attended the Charles Novell School of Music and has had a solo ministry for over 20 years in addition to being and organist at her church since her teen years. Susan has a soulful, hearfelt sound that has ganered her charting success in her solo ministry.

Crimson Chord has had numerous award nominations and was named the Trio of the Year in 2025 by the Lake Cumberland Gospel Music Association. Terry, Lena and Susan are excited about Crimson Chord’s upcoming release with Real Southern Gospel on Home Church Records.
